Joel 3:1-8 Precept Amos 1:6-8
[1]For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
TMH begins by saying he will bring back all the Hebrews who were in captivity that once lived in Judah and Jerusalem.
[2]I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
TMH says that he will also bring all the other nations and gather them into armageddon.
TMH will ask them for Israel who they sold out into various countries as slaves.
[3]And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
Cast lots = An auction type procedure to sell merchandise.
TMH says an Hebrew boy was sold as a prostitute and an Hebrew girl was sold for wine so that they could drink.
[4]Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;
TMH asks them what are they gonna do with him making reference to names like
2 Samuel 24:7
[7]And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba.
Psalms 83:7
[7]Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Acts 12:20
[20]And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country. (Ancestors of Ham/ Africans)
Genesis 10:6,15,19
[6]And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
[14]And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
[15]And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
[19]And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
Genesis 10:14
[14]And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
Recompence definition: to make amends to someone for loss or harm suffered. Synonym to compensate (all these nations are of the families of Ham)
[5]Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:
TMH continues to complain of how they took his silver, gold and goodly things and carried them away to their countries and into their temples when they plundered Jerusalem..
[6]The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
TMH goes on to say that the nations above sold the Hebrews unto the Grecians ,so that they could move the Hebrews far away from their land which is Jerusalem aka the land of Canaan.
Grecians = Ancestors of Japheth of European decent.
[7]Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:
TMH continues to say that he will bring the Hebrews out of the places where the ancestors of Ham have sold them and he will give back their compensation on their own heads.
[8]And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Instead TMH will now sell their sons and their daughters as slaves to the Hebrews and they will sell them to the Sabeans which is a people that live far away. So be it.
Sabeans = 1 Chronicles 1:9 , Isaiah 43;3, Genesis 10:7 / 25:3.
1 Chronicles 1:9
[9]And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
Isaiah 43:3
[3]For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Genesis 10:7
[7]And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
Genesis 25:3
[3]And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
