What are Fruits of the Spirit?

Galatians 5:22-23

[22]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

[23]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Precept for Galatians 5:22-23 : 

1 Timothy 6:11

[11]But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.


1. Love

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

[4]Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

[5]Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

[6]Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

[7]Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.


2. Joy

John 16:22

[22]And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.


3. Peace

Mark 9:50

[50]Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

[6]For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.


4. Long suffering

2 Corinthians 6:6

9. Temperance

[6]And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;


10. Patience

Romans 8:25

[25]But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Matthew 7:16-20

[16]Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

[17]Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

[18]A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

• How do we exhibit the fruits of the spirit?


Once you are able to establish a relationship with The Most High, all these fruits of the spirit would be easily accessible to you.

  Question 1:  If your name is Jesse and you were walking down the street and someone started waving from across the street calling you Jordan, what would be your first response or reaction?
