Who is jesus?
You would think that "Jesus" is the name given to the Messiah when he was born to the Virgin Mary to forgive his people of sin and while in the book of Matthew it does say that "Jesus" was born of Mary and Joseph, many things need to be discussed when it come to this topic.

Galatians 3:13
[13]Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
1 Peter 2:24

[30]The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

[39]And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

[29]And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
Lets start by researching the name "Jesus"
The name "Jesus" and It's meaning when researched in a strongs concordance/ hebrew lexicon,from the blue letter bible we see means “Jehovah is Salvation”.
When we are researching the hebrew meaning of "Jesus" which means "Jehoshua" in the Hebrew and English is Joshua, which would lead us back to the meaning "Jehovah is salvation"
So let me repeat this, "Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation" "Jesus" in hebrew means "Jehoshua" and in english means "Joshua" which also mean "Jehovah is salvation" so it all leads back to this word "Jehovah"
Now, who is Jehovah?

Here is some scriptures that will identify the name of the Messiah prophesied by a number of prophets in the Bible.
Isaiah 8:8
[8]And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
Matthew 1:23
[23]Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Isaiah 7:14
[14]Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
According to these scriptures the prophet Isaiah originally said that the name of the child being born to Mary and Joseph would be named Emmanuel so can you explain the change in names from the old testament to the new testament?
Although the name “Jesus” is in the Bible 942 times in the New Testament, and precepts are used to prove that something is true, we must take into account, the prophecy stated by Isaiah and the name mentioned in his prophecy, otherwise, we would be saying that Isaiah is a false prophet if we do not acknowledge the Messiah's name as Emmanuel.
What is a false prophet?
According to Deuteronomy 18:22, If a prophet says a thing or makes a prophecy in the name of The Most High and the thing mentioned does not come to pass, he is a false prophet.
The bible warns us to be ware of false prophets in Jeremiah 14:14, including Matthew 7:15 also Matthew 24:11, Matthew 24:24 and 1 John 4:1.
So who is Jesus ?
Jesus is a deity.
2 Corinthians 11:4
[4]For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Galatians 1:6-9
[6]I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
[7]Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
[8]But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
[9]As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
In conclusion, The Most High's people are not allowed to utter the names of other gods, according to Exodus 23:13 or practice the acts of worshipping or serving other gods
Exodus 20:1-5
[1]And God spake all these words, saying,
[2]I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
[3]Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
[4]Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5]Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
