What is worship? What is Worship ? Different forms of worship? Is there a wrong way to worship? What is the true meaning of worship? What is the purpose of worship? Genesis 24:26 [26] And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the Lord.  Genesis 24:52 [52] And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth. Exodus 34:8 [8] And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.  2 Chronicles 29:28-30 [28] And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished. [29] And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped. [30] Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the Lord with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed thei...

The ceremonial laws -To keep or not to keep

The Ceremonial Laws

What are Ceremonial Laws?

Ceremonial Laws is commands and precepted instructions given by The Most High to his people, Israel.

These events were to take place weekly, monthly and yearly.

The ceremonial laws mentioned in the Bible are as follows :

  • The Sabbath
  • The Passover
  • The Feast of Unleavened Bread
  • The Feast of Weeks
  • The Wave Sheaf
  • The New Moon
  • The Day of Atonement
  • The Feast of Tabernacles
  • The Feast of Booths

The ceremonies mentioned above are all valid at memorials, as memorials that should be remembered every year.

While these events are valid, there are some important components that should be considered when understanding the ritual in it's proper context.

1. You must be in the land of your inheritance :

Exodus 12:25,

[25]And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

Leviticus 14:34,

[34]When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;

Leviticus 23:10,

[10]Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

Numbers 15:2,

[2]Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,

2. In order to keep most of these events, the most high must choose the place in the land where it shall be kept :

Deuteronomy 12:11,14,18,26

[11]Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

[14]But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

[18]But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

[26]Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:

Deuteronomy 17:2-10,

[2]If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,

[3]And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

[4]And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:

[5]Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

[6]At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

[7]The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

[8]If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;

[9]And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:

[10]And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:

Deuteronomy 14:23-25,

[23]And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

[24]And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

[25]Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

Deuteronomy 15:20,

[20]Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.

Deuteronomy 31:11,

[11]When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

Joshua 9:27,

[27]And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.

Leviticus 19:23,

[23]And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

Leviticus 22:24,

[24]Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

Leviticus 25:10-18,

[10]And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

[11]A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.

[12]For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

[13]In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.

[14]And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

[15]According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:

[16]According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.

[17]Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.

[18]Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

Leviticus 26:26.

[26]And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

Am I in captivity / slavery? That is the question.

One of the numerous ways to identify if you are in captivity / slavery is by asking yourself a couple questions.

1. Am I under a government that is not of my nation?

2. Am I free to worship my God wholly without interference from anything or anyone?

3. Were my ancestors involved in slavery? ( The Slave Trade ) according to

Deuteronomy 28:68

4. Do I have to pay taxes also called vat in some cases?

5. Do all nations have equal rights or are blacks/hebrews treated with racial profiling and face stigmatization?

6. Am I under the curses said in:

Deuteronomy 28 ?

Once you've identified with most of the above statements, then you know that you are a slave to the system.

Please take note that in order to keep the ceremonial laws and the commandments stated by The Most High, Israel was taken from under the captivity / slavery of the Egyptian government, If indeed the Israelites were capable of keeping the ceremonial laws under the Egyptian government then why would they need to leave Egypt?

In the history of the Bible, there has never been a time where Israel kept the ceremonial laws under captivity in another land under another government.

Rituals

The ceremonies are rituals that are performed by clean and sanctified people, if you are unclean in any form or you do the ritual incorrectly by error or trespass, you can bring curses upon your own head.

An example of this is Nadab and Abihu who offered strange fire before The Most High in the tabernacle and were burnt, this suggest to us that the slightest mistake or error can lead to serious consequences.

The Most High says in Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13, “No man can serve two masters” so if you are under a government / master, how are you able to serve The Most High properly?

In Exodus 8:25-32, Pharaoh asked Moses to sacrifice in the land of Goshen, but Moses rejected saying, “The laws of the land and it's people have rejected the customs of the Israelites and if they were to keep their customs in the land of Goshen, the people would stone them or kill them”. So that means that the hebrews were not able to sacrifice in their land right?

Please ponder on these points and see what you come up with, we would love to hear your take on this.
