What is worship?

What is worship? What is Worship ? Different forms of worship? Is there a wrong way to worship? What is the true meaning of worship? What is the purpose of worship? Genesis 24:26 [26] And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the Lord.  Genesis 24:52 [52] And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth. Exodus 34:8 [8] And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.  2 Chronicles 29:28-30 [28] And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished. [29] And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped. [30] Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the Lord with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed thei...

Are we under the law?

Law

The Definition of Law

The definition of Law are two major things:

1. The law of Moses aka “The Torah” which are the first five books of Moses.

Deuteronomy 31:24
[24]And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,

1 Corinthians 9:9
[9]For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

2. The “Levitical Law” as in the priesthood.

Joshua 18:7
[7]But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.

Hebrews 7:5
[5]And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

We would assume that you are referring to the first five books of Moses which contains the commandments: asking if they are done away with?

The answer is clear, which is “no”.

The law is not done away with due to the various factors that derived from the bible such as :

1. The Most High does not change.

Malachi 3:6
[6]For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

If from the beginning, TMH established something, he will not change or abolish it but rather makes extra provisions to see it through.

Point to note: Change and abolish are not the same thing.

2. Not one jot or one tittle must pass away.

Matthew 5:18
[18]For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 24:35
[35]Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Precepts:
Mark 13:31
Luke 21:33

3. Some, if not most of the prophecy still needs to be fulfilled especially in Revelations.

So how exactly is the Law / Torah passed away?

Granted that certain commands given by TMH in later time, provisions were made for like :

1. The Law of Circumcision - Acts 15:1-41
provisions were made with the second covenant.

2. The Law of Animal Sacrifice which is under priesthood. - Acts 14:12-18
provisions were made with the death of The Messiah.

3. The Ceremonial Laws / Feast Days which happened yearly  which invloved animal sacrifices.
Hebrews 9:10, Colossians 2:14, Ephesians 2:15

Provisons were made with the priesthood being changed from Levitical to high priest.

Hebrews 7:12
[12]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Our new form of sacrifice are prayers, supplication, praise, worship and the keeping of our bodies.

Romans 12:1
[1]I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Hebrews 13:15
[15]By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Hebrews 13:16
[16]But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Psalms 141:2
[2]Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

4. The act of stoning to death / punishment for sin - John 8:3
Provisions were made with either forgiveness of sins or judgement day that will lead to death or punishment for disobedience.

We haven't heard anything in the bible pertaining to :

1. Civil Laws being abolished (Still held accountable)
Meaning how we deal with one another in various matters between blood and blood or tribe.

2. The Dietary Laws being abolished (Still held accountable)
Meaning the types of food we put into our temple/bodies.

3. Moral Laws being abolished (Still held accountable)
Meaning the way we keep our spirit pure by not polluting it with fornication and sins.

4. The Ten Commandments of Exodus 20 being abolished (Still held accountable)

If the laws were abolished then :

1. You would have the ability to commit any sin with no consequences.

2. The Devil / Satan wouldn't be using these same sins against you to destroy your soul.

The reason why you believe what the pastor says is because you don't read the word for yourself in a way that you can unlock the proper understandings from it.

You can't possibly only read that we are under grace and go with that. You must do your research to find out the truth.

But while we are on this topic, let us break down the term “under grace” so that we are all on the same page.

Romans 6:14-15
[14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

[15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

First we must define the word “Law” which we did at the start of this study, obviously the “Law” in which Paul is referring to is the Levitical Law as in the priesthood.

Understanding this, we can now move on to defining the term “under grace”, for this, we must find the precepts involved.

What is Grace?

Ephesians 1:7
[7]In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Because The Messiah died for the remission of sins, which is the “grace” that was bestowed to his people so when you hear the term “under grace”, you should understand the entire scripture read in context :

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have rule over you : for you are not under the Levitical Law but under the forgiveness of sins / remission of sins.

Romans 6:15
What then shall we sin cause we are not under the Levitical Law but under the forgiveness of sins? The father forbids.

The Levitical law includes:

1. Having or being under an earthly priesthood aka the levites (no longer applicable)

2. Practicing the ordinance of animal sacrifice and blood letting for the forgiveness of sins. (no longer applicable)

3. The practice of circumcision to try to enact the first covenant with Abraham. (no longer applicable)

4. The practice of certain holy feasts days that require animal sacrifice, TMH and the land as staples. (no longer applicable)
